Design in Google Stitch, Build in Claude Code Over MCP

UI/UX Design◆ Intermediate◆ Advanced@nick_saraevsaved APR 28

◇ Could this help me?

Yes. The division of labor is the sound idea here: a coding agent reasons well about structure and logic but designs poorly from a text description, so handing it a concrete design system and real screens over MCP removes the guesswork that produces generic-looking interfaces. Two things the video oversells: a design-to-code pass produces a convincing prototype rather than launch-ready software, and connecting an MCP server is a real access decision that deserves the same scrutiny as installing anything else, not the one-click step it is presented as. General practice.

I have a set of UI designs and a design system generated in Google Stitch, and I want to turn them into a working frontend. First, research the Stitch MCP export before I connect anything: what endpoint it exposes, who operates it, what data it can reach, and what permissions it requests. Report back and connect only after I approve. Once connected, read the designs directly and build all the screens in React and Tailwind, wire the navigation between them, and add smooth transitions. Then give me a review of your own output covering accessibility, responsive behavior at small widths, and anywhere you invented state or data that the designs did not specify.
