Give a Slide Deck Skill a Visual System, Not Just a Topic

UI/UX Design◆ Intermediate◆ Advanced@janustiusaved MAY 13

◇ Could this help me?

Yes, and the central instruction generalizes well past slide decks. A generative tool given only content produces the average of what it has seen, which is why generated output is recognizable, and supplying an explicit visual direction is what converts it from imitation into execution of a brief. The structured-questions-up-front design of the skill is the other good detail, since most of what makes a deck feel intentional is decided before any slide exists. General practice, with two honest notes: HTML output is genuinely more flexible than a slide file for sharing and deploying, but a stakeholder who expects an editable slide file may not consider a web page a finished deliverable, and the skill is third-party installed content that deserves identification before approval.

Help me build a presentation as a web page rather than as slides, and do not let it come out looking generic. Before generating anything, interview me about the audience, the single argument the deck has to land, and what the audience should do afterwards. Then ask me for visual direction rather than inventing it: I will give you either a published design system or reference images, and I want you to extract the specific rules from it, typography, spacing, color roles, and motion, and state them back to me before you build. Then produce two or three distinct style options against those rules so I can choose, and only then build the full deck.
