Going to a vendor's own free published guide is a sound instinct, since first-party documentation is more reliable and more current than the reshared summaries built on top of it, and it costs nothing to read. The genuinely useful move is the reframing: reading a build-a-startup guide as an inventory of capabilities you could be applying to existing work is a better use of it than following it literally, because most readers are not founding a company. General practice, with the ordinary caution that a vendor's guide describes what its product does well and will not tell you where a different tool or no tool would serve better.

Go through these categories with me one at a time, market and competitive research, outreach and communication, security review of software, and go-to-market work, and for each one ask what I currently do manually and how long it takes. Then tell me honestly which of them an assistant would genuinely improve, which it would only partly help with, and which are better left alone, and be specific about why rather than recommending everything.
